Our Changing Philosophical Landscape

Update for July 06, 2022: Apparently I am not the only person to recognize the implications for humanity that the 'Guide Stones' represent because just this morning someone tried to destroy the monument.

At 4:00 AM Georgia, U.S.A time part of the structure was demolished by explosives, as reported by Georgia news station WYFF Channel 4.

Most people have the need to be close to a 'higher power' and the reasons for this are as plentiful as the people themselves. Some need a connection that tethers their thoughts and emotions while others desire help in improving themselves during this life, and possibly for the next. No matter the reason, beliefs are generally very personal and the believer but a respectful student of a great wisdom.

Yet there are also systems of belief that intend to imbue the rare student with such an understanding of that great wisdom that the student might place themselves as equal to it on many levels. In this instance I am referring to the followers of the Egyptian god of wisdom, Thoth, who was Hermes to the ancient Greeks. Greek translations of Egyptian texts are known as 'Hermetic' knowledge and have been used in everything from the study of alchemy, Jewish, Muslim and Christian mysticism, through a host of 'occult' sciences and arts. The following is a lesson from 'Thrice Great Hermes' in how best to 'know' God:

If then you do not make yourself equal to God, you cannot apprehend God; for like is known by like.
Leap clear of all that is corporeal, and make yourself grown to a like expanse with that greatness which is beyond all measure; rise above all time and become eternal; then you will apprehend God.

Think that for you too nothing is impossible; deem that you too are immortal, and that you are able to grasp all things in your thought, to know every craft and science; find your home in the haunts of every living creature; make yourself higher than all heights and lower than all depths; bring together in yourself all opposites of quality, heat and cold, dryness and fluidity; think that you are everywhere at once, on land, at sea, in heaven; think that you are not yet begotten, that you are in the womb, that you are young, that you are old, that you have died, that you are in the world beyond the grave; grasp in your thought all of this at once, all times and places, all substances and qualities and magnitudes together; then you can apprehend God.

But if you shut up your soul in your body, and abase yourself, and say “I know nothing, I can do nothing; I am afraid of earth and sea, I cannot mount to heaven; I know not what I was, nor what I shall be,” then what have you to do with God?

This difference between the idea of a 'respectful student' and the idea that one might be like God is at the centre of world events today but buried deep beneath more superficial political and social issues which occupy media and people. On one side of this theological divide are those who see their God as immutable and with a knowledge and love unobtainable by living beings. They see the past, present and future shaped by this higher power, with their own place as subordinate yet thankful for the ability to grow and learn under this energy.

On the other side are those who, as noted above see themselves with the power and knowledge of their Godhead in sufficient quantity to make them, rather than God, responsible for the past, present and future of this world and all that it holds. This ancient belief that a few humans are born with intelligence and a natural 'knowledge' of how the universe works has been for centuries locked away in 'secret societies', doled out to 'adepts' who typically hold important positions in society at large.

This secrecy has been necessary because their beliefs were considered heretical by the predominant religions of the day, but the tables have been turning for decades and now their desires to remake the world in their own image can be writ large, even engraved on monoliths for all to see;

At the highest point in Elberton County, in the state of Georgia sits a modern monolith dedicated to 'reason' and 'principal'. It was positioned and crafted with outstanding skill and knowledge of cosmology and it announces to all of humanity that those who believe themselves equal to God have become the predominant religion.

Twenty years in planning and a year in the making, the granite slab monolith was unveiled on March 22, 1980 before an audience of several hundred, including keynote speaker and congressman Doug Barnard. Weighing over 236,000 Lbs with a top elevation of about nineteen foot, the structure is fitted with five vertical slabs of stone and one horizontal cap stone. It is taller than England's 'Stonehenge' monolith by almost three feet and, according to people who have visited the site, evokes a similar sense of awe.

Upon the capstone and written in Sanskrit, Babylonian Cuniform, Classical Greek and Egyptian Hieroglyphic is engraved the message:

“LET THESE BE GUIDESTONES TO AN AGE OF REASON”

The four outer, vertical slabs are oriented to mark the limits of the 18.6-year Lunar declination cycle and the centre slab has a hole through which the North Star is always visible, plus a horizontal slot aligned with the Sun's solstices and equinoxes. Engraved on their surfaces, in English, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Classical Hebrew, Swahili, Hindi and Spanish is the following:

MAINTAIN HUMANITY UNDER 500,000,000 IN PERPETUAL BALANCE WITH NATURE
GUIDE REPRODUCTION WISELY — IMPROVING FITNESS AND DIVERSITY

UNITE HUMANITY WITH A LIVING NEW LANGUAGE
RULE PASSION — FAITH — TRADITION AND ALL THINGS WITH TEMPERED REASON

PROTECT PEOPLE AND NATIONS WITH FAIR LAWS AND JUST COURTS
LET ALL NATIONS RULE INTERNALLY, RESOLVING EXTERNAL DISPUTES IN A WORLD COURT

AVOID PETTY LAWS AND USELESS OFFICIALS
BALANCE PERSONAL RIGHTS WITH SOCIAL DUTIES

PRIZE TRUTH — BEAUTY — LOVE — SEEKING HARMONY WITH THE INFINITE
BE NOT A CANCER ON THE EARTH — LEAVE ROOM FOR NATURE
LEAVE ROOM FOR NATURE

Much has been written about the monolith and its many cosmological features and alignments but what remains a mystery is who instigated the project and to what end. According to the granite quarry that supplied the material and workmanship, the only person they had contact with was an 'elegantly dressed, grey haired, middle aged man' who gave his name as R.C. Christian.

Mr. Christian, who supplied the design drawings (originally in metric) the financing and project management belonged to 'a group of individuals' that wished to spread their 'environmental' message. He admitted to having created the name to reflect his faith and the only person who may have known his true identity was Wyatt C. Martin, the local bank manager that arranged project financing.

A clue to Mr. Christian's motives to build the structure arrived when he published a book under the name Robert Christian in 1986 entitled: “Common Sense Renewed”, in which he expands upon the monoliths messages. Only one hundred copies of his book were printed and sent to lawmakers and civil leaders around the world with the desire that they adopt these principals in their current and future plans.

Although using the name Christian and having stated six years before that the name was chosen to reflect his faith, the philosophy espoused in 'Common Sense Renewed' opposes much that Christianity is. His book questions the need to recognize the efficacy of 'prayer', it questions the belief in life after death, and the primacy of human life and faith. In their place he hopes that, “...the second coming of Christ will take the form of a dawning of an 'age of collective human reason.

I've read his message before, in different contexts but to the same end. In February of 1776, Thomas Paine released his manuscript entitled “Common Sense” in which he espoused his admittedly 'occult philosophy' entirely 'under the influence of reason and principal'. Although Mr. Christian does not say specifically that this was the work upon which he based his own book, a reading of both will confirm that indeed the philosophies are quite similar.

George Brock Chisholm, controversial Canadian Surgeon General, psychiatrist (Freudian), first World War veteran and first Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) espoused the philosophies presented by Christian, as did the likes of John Maynard Keynes and Thomas Malthus, two men who's ideas arguably control much of society already. I've also read his message in the United Nations document titled; “United Nations Conference on Environment & Development Rio de Janerio, Brazil, 3 to 14 June 1992 AGENDA 21

How is it that these people, who believe themselves equal to God and able to 'do God's work' have managed to take control of large parts of society and seem to be on track with their future plans? What common threads tie them together and amplify their efforts?

As noted above, their belief system is old, going back to ancient Egypt and perhaps even to ancient Sumer and before. We may think that Christianity and/or the Love of a merciful God has spread to all corners of the world, and perhaps it did, but the old religions never died. They were kept alive in societies like the Rosicrucians, the Freemasons, the Oddfellows, the Jesuits and even the United Nations with its various arms and non-government organizations. Adherents to these beliefs have been working within the general population around the world for generations, slowly making the changes necessary for the societal upheaval we are seeing today and will witness in the coming years.

Can this tsunami of hate against humanity be stopped? At the moment I cannot think of a way to convince enough of the population that they are being attacked which means most people are ill prepared for the next phase of this war. A war of faith that was declared long ago to a world too preoccupied with gender and race issues, with fake politics and propaganda.

Two hundred years ago the North American Indigenous Elders spoke of this time as a trial for all of humanity. Their answer to the question of how to deal with this threat from the white world has always stuck in my memory;
“Keep moving and don't let them force you into their society.” They said.
“Once the evil-one is in charge, it will take four years of suffering before the Creator cleans the Earth and the whites leave North America for good.”

So, God willing I will see you on the road to a better world and I pray that your faith and your fortitude might carry you through the times ahead.

Thank You,
Ted
